About Typical Dreamers
There is a saying that blood is thicker than water. This sentiment rings especially true for Typical Dreamers, Pitt Meadows, BC-based Alternative Pop/Rock band consisting of brothers
Mauro (guitar), Fabio (bass), and brother-in-law, Jarren (drums).
Typical Dreamers circumvent the formulaic, ‘in your face’ mantra that’s been a direct result of ongoing loudness wars, and instead find themselves leaning into the interplay between soft and loud. It is through these dynamic peaks and valleys that Typical Dreamers are able to evoke a wider range of emotions and deliver them with conviction.
Everything from love, anger, excitement, happiness and bliss are covered, transcending what’s possible within musical storytelling and expression.
Their latest single, ‘Robot Man’ encapsulates just that, while also showcasing the band’s
diverse range of influences. Notably, the record was self-recorded, and produced by hit songwriter Anthony Anderson, mixed by Steve Smith.
They went on to win a Vancouver-based contest ‘The Roxy Launch Project’ which featured 20 contestants from across the province. The accolade received media coverage from the Maple Ridge Times. They cite the Beatles, Bowie and Young The Giant as pivotal influences who helped shape their sound, and can be heard throughout their sonic palette.
With a proclivity for fresh hooks and understated melodies that flirt with the beauty of subtlety, Mauro, Fabio, and Jarren have cemented a collective vision to empower communities through positive, meaningful music that stands the test of time.
