Ness Heads

Born Vanessa Ortiz, Ness Heads’ take on contemporary hip-hip immediately grabs an audience’s attention. A talented songwriter, she uses catchy melodies and powerful lyrics to tell stories and convey her emotions. She first broke into Chicago’s hip-hop scene in late 2017 when she started working with producer and family friend Drew Damen at Music Garage. Ness decided to quit her sales job and commit to music full time by the end of 2017. Ness draws influence from all genres of music from several different decades. Some of her primary influences are Nirvana, Syd (of the Internet), Kaytranada, and Panic! At the Disco.
