About Art For Our Sake
The over-arching concepts are that music and the arts are vital parts of our mental health and well-being and can be effective as a healing force for those who experience mental health issues.
There are variety of laws that cover intimidation, harassment and bullying but does the law need changing to combat bullying, particularly in schools and amongst young people but also in wider society when attacks are increasing on women and minorities and intimidation is riff on social media.
Are soft skills such as sport, arts (music, art, drama) being sacrificed to the detriment of our children’s health. How do we restore these to our local curriculum and lobby for change at national level?
What practical steps at local level do we need to take to make sure that children and adults are more aware of subjects such as bullying, emotional literacy, relationships and communication?
