Born in Palo Alto, California, Gianna was raised around sprawling redwood forests and up-and-coming technology. When she was in the 1st grade, her grandfather, accordionist Reno DiBono, signed her up for piano lessons so she could learn how to read music. From there, a fire was started. She continued playing classical piano with the Royal Conservatory until age 14, when she quit the classical path to pursue music of her own choosing. Throughout her high school years she played in numerous bands, while also teaching voice and piano lessons. She traveled to Spain during the summers of 2015, 2016, and 2017 to play in a cover band on the beaches of Catalunya. In addition to these European tours, she played multiple shows throughout the Bay Area, including venues such as Art Boutiki in San Jose to winning San Carlos’ Battle of the Bands.
In the fall of 2017, Gianna moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Belmont University and study music business. In Nashville she continues to write music and play with her own band. She is currently booking shows and plans to begin recording her own music within the coming months.

Gianna sites Fleetwood Mac, Lorde, Radiohead, Lake Street Dive, and others as big influencers of her love of music. Her love of showing emotion through music is shown through her own songwriting as well as her influencers.
