About Knife Fights for Fast Cash
Brandon Mijares has been in a band since he could play bass. Starting in a jazz band, then moving onto several different local metal bands, Brandon was looking for a different sound when he founded Knife Fights for Fast Cash in late 2017. He wanted a fast & rowdy sound that people could move to while also having good song structure and strong melody. He found Corbin Kenaley who had recently moved to DC from Hawaii, and began rehearsing cover songs and writing originals.
Drawing from classic ska roots, Knife Fights music is full of energetic beats, deep reggae-like grooves & ruff-n-tuff guitar skanking. The Band is currently working on writing their first full length release, which is projected to release late 2019/early 2020.
