About SOS From The Kids
Music -what a powerful instrument, what a mighty weapon!
'SOS from the Kids' is a protest song. A call to act for the climate crisis now, written by 12 year old Simeon and his mum.
When Sim learnt about the extent of the climate change emergency he used the power of music to turn his initial feelings of despondency into a positive and beautiful musical project.
Sim set about inviting his cousins and friends to record the song with him and roped, Noah, his 14 year old brother, into capturing what they were up to.
So far, Sim and his fellow climate warriors, have performed, ‘SOS from the Kids’, outside the Houses of Parliament, at school, at church and on two school strikes for climate in Portsmouth and London. They've sung at a climate conference for Hampshire County Council and been invited as guests on BBC Radio's ‘The Early Late Show’ Radio Solent as well as Summer Uprising Extinction Rebellion gatherings in the UK.
