About Fairly Odd Duo
The Fairly Odd Duo plays upbeat Acoustic Americana/Pop music, using original arrangements and lush vocal harmonies to capture the mood and share their brand of light-hearted fun.
Drawing from singer-songwriters, both obscure and famous, The Fairly Odd Duo plays originals as well as covers from every decade of American Popular music, with a knack for picking songs everyone knows but nobody plays. Their setlist will surprise and entertain audiences young and old alike.
Although they've been married for over 20 years, they only began singing and performing together recently. JB's background as a music professor and doublebass player coupled with Michelle's artistic background give the duo a relaxed and easy going presence that works well with their repertoire.
The duo has returned to Illinois after honing their repertoire playing open mics and busking their way through the Pacific North West and California. "We think most people will see how much we enjoy it," says Michelle, "and catch themselves smiling with us!"
