Born and raised in Knoxville TN. J.Bu$h grew up in low-income communities where he discovered his passion for hip-hop. Living in poverty as a youth in the intercity he noticed that there was a pre-existing narrative that didn’t reflect who he truly was, so he dictated himself to making art that progressively worked to shift the dominant narrative. J.Bu$h believes that we all have the power to craft a new story and it is his personal mission as an artist, father, teacher, and organizer to create art that promotes awareness, wellness, and transformation.
