Joey Ranieri

Hailing from Chicago, Joey Ranieri is a bassist performing mainly the Jazz idiom, specifically acoustic, straight ahead swing. Joey has been mentored/educated by Chicago's rich mass of top tear musicians of their time such as Dennis Carroll, Pharez Whitted, George Fludas, Bobby Broom, Joan Hickey, and others outside Chicago such as Emmet Cohen, Johnny O'Neal, and Evan Sherman. Joey's musical mission is to honor those that came before him in this unique and exquisite art form we call Jazz, and to bring joy and light into the world through musical self expression.
