D. Scott Riggs

D. Scott Riggs, frontman and songwriter for the Spearman Brewers, is a Gulf Coast based artist that plays Panhandle Blues, a rich gumbo of Pre-War Delta, Piedmont, and Country Blues, with healthy doses of Jazz, Gospel, Hokum, Cajun, and Jug music thrown in for flavor. The Brewers were formed in 2001 by Riggs as a vehicle to deliver the sounds of time-forgotten 78 RPM records. Riggs honors the past by bringing it to the present with original compositions based on the time-enduring styles of days gone by. It's the New Old Stuff, where the bottle hits the string.
