About Hytez

The 18 year old Texas native, who has been recording himself since the age of 14, formerly known as “Young Heights” and “Yung Hytez”,
Has taken the Young/Yung out of his moniker, despite bringing a youthful splash in his music when it is upbeat. Greatly inspired by Lil Wayne, XXXTentacion, Drake, and J.Cole, He aims to connect with his audience with his more serious tracks, openly discussing topics such as depression, anxiety, love, loss, impatience, friendships, and frustrations. His first taste of success came in 2017, when his song “Promises”, a freestyle on Drake’s “Pound Cake / Paris Morton Music 2”, amassed over 10,000 streams. At the time of the song’s success however, the troubled artist had given up music, and planned to take his own life. Now back on track with making music he hopes to surpass his earlier success.
