About Shelter Cove
Vocalist Abbie Garrett and guitarist Ethan Forrest first met at a music camp called The JAM in Franklin, TN, over the summer in 2013. They immediately began writing and performing music together and would continue to refine their craft over the course of the next 3 years. Being as young as they were, 15 and 18, they grew up together throughout those three years - made a lot of music, made a lot of mistakes, and learned a lot of valuable lessons about life and music. They created a band together shortly after they met (not Shelter Cove), but it was the biggest learning curve they had to encounter. Finding their own voice separate from their influences and finding other people to join into the vision they both saw took all three years to overcome. In 2016, the two met Andy Modaff, a drummer from Chicago, Illinois, who became the final puzzle piece in realizing their voice as musicians. After about a year of trial and error together, they made it official and became a pop group called Shelter Cove. The music finally felt right, and it was a match made in heaven.
