Flat Out - the band

Flat Out is an amazing show band composed of five very seasoned musicians. They have combined experience of over 200 years of professional on-stage experience in many bands and with well known artists. The music they play from the late 60's to early 70's was actually played by them at that time. Members played shows at the Fillmore, Avalon Ball Room, The Coconut Grove, The Whiskey A-Go-Go, The Roxy, The Troubadour, etc. The name Flat Out came from the fact that they only know one way to play, Flat Out.
The music they chose is more of an homage to some of the great bands of the 60'-70's. Cactus, Cream, The Allman Brothers, Humble Pie, etc. and to the extraordinary musicians in those bands. Some Flat Out members actually were in bands that opened in concerts for Cream, The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, the Greatful Dead, Janis Joplin, Taj Mahal, Young Rascals, Blue Cheer, Byrds, Santana, George Thorogood, Buddy Miles, Elvin Bishop, Paul Butterfield, etc. in their heydays.
While not being a “tribute band” that attempts to copy a frozen moment in time recording of a great band and pretend to be those legendary players, Flat Out strives very successfully to bring the energy and talent of the original bands playing the music with the same power the original musicians brought to the stage then and would bring today.
