Icky Ike

Icky Ike, born Isaac Newby, has had a message in his heart from birth. Born the Grandson of Pentecostal Preacher, John Tanner, Ike grew up knowing that his words had weight and power. He started off with poetry, learning from George Watsky, and began to really see his passion begin to manifest. It was his senior year in High School that he was introduced to Christian Recording Artist and future label mate, DBreezy. At the time Breezy was working as a local youth pastor and introduced Ike to the Christian Hip Hop Community. Breezy helped Ike to see the ability and it was with that revelation that he began to write Hip Hop music. Ike's heart was to share his happiness, his pain, his heartache and his every thought through music. While his faith empowers his ability, it is his humanity that pours out through his body of work. This young up and comer will be someone to watch as Hip Hop Culture moves back towards a message.
