Jessamie is a Melbourne-based composer for live performance and film.
Particular career highlights include composing "Cascades" in 2016 for Sarah Curro of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (a piece for semi-acoustic violin and backing track), and "Awakenings" in 2018 for the Stratus Chamber Orchestra, Colorado (for orchestra and live electronics).
Jessamie has also scored for motion picture, from the award-winning British psychological thriller Damaged (2015), to the Australian documentary The Gladsome Centaur (2018) highlighting women's place in the Australian film industry.
Having studied film scoring with Berklee Music Online, Jessamie interned for Film Composer Chris Doucet in 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah, before returning home to complete her Bachelor of Music (Composition and Music Production) at the Australian Institute of Music, Melbourne.
In 2017 Jessamie backpacked solo throughout Europe, seeing the Berlin Philharmonic, the Sibelius Festival in Finland, Stratus Chamber Orchestra (USA) in Prague, and the world premiere of Danny Elfman's Violin Concerto in Prague.
