About Violet Orchid
Hailing from North Manchester, school friends Alex, Ben, Lewis and Sam were making music together long before the formation of Violet Orchid in the summer of 2018.
The lads, sporting formidable fringes, spent their teenage years thrashing through covers of indie classics in Sam’s parents house - much to the chagrin of some elderly neighbours.
But with fresh trims came a fresh vibe and after a few years crafting their sound the band eventually arrived at the sun-drenched, soul inspired, R&B pop you hear today.
This unique sound coupled with their energetic live shows got tongues wagging in the Manchester music scene in late 2019 and early 2020. The lads are eager to return to action once normality resumes and have released their latest single ‘Treading Water’ in the mean time to keep fans entertained.
