La By’le [ˈLa:baɪ̯liː] presents a dance-floor-ready-mix of Brega Funk and Baile Funk as well as other energetic styles from the Global South. La By’le’s spice confidently breaks through borders with a fun, humorous, and provocative vantage point. With vibrant choreography, double-entendre lyrics and odes to Germany’s Gotham City, La By’le leaves a lasting imprint on their audiences.

The crew: Babix, Sera Kalo, Pitota, Cara Muru and Luana Madikera share cultural roots in the Global South (South America, the Caribbean, and Africa) and are active members of the QTBIPOC+ community in Berlin. In recent years, La By’le has been a local support for international artists like Mc Carol and Deize Tigrona. They have also organized dance workshops featuring Sabrina Ginga (Heavy Baile), VN, and Sheik (Nego do Borel). In 2020, La By’le was recognized and awarded by the Club Commission Berlin for their outstanding contribution to Berlin’s club culture and music scene.

Alle Mitglieder haben ihre kulturellen Wurzeln im Global South (Südamerika, Karibik, Afrika) und sind ein aktiver Teil der QTBIPOC+ Community in Berlin. In den letzten Jahren unterstützte La By’le die Berliner Shows von Internationalen Künstler*Innen wie Mc Carol und Deize Tigrona, wurde 2020 von der Club Commission Berlin zum Tag der Clubkultur ausgezeichnet und organisierte Tanzworkshops für Tänzer*Innen wie Sabrina Ginga (Heavy Baile), VN und Sheik (Nego do Borel).
