Morgendust

Morgendust provides the soundtrack for the restless. Hailing from the Netherlands, this 4-piece band crafts Cinematic Indie Rock that explores the friction between warm nostalgia and cold reality.

Their sound is a massive wall of sound: atmospheric synthesizers, driving basslines, and guitars that echo the grandeur of the 80s while staying firmly rooted in the present. Think The War on Drugs meets Future Islands, with a touch of Depeche Mode darkness.

Legacy & evolution
Since their formation, Morgendust has built a formidable reputation. They’ve sold out their hometown venue Hedon Zwolle multiple times, toured the Balkan region (Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia), and were crowned ‘Best of European Rock’ at the Intercontinental Music Awards (2021). Critics have praised their ability to sound both intimate and stadium-sized, calling their work "A superb, wide-ranging album" (Eclectic Music Lover, USA).

The new chapter
In 2026, Morgendust returns with a sharpened identity and a renewed lineup. Founding members Marco de Haan (vocals/guitars/drums) and Iwan Blokzijl (keys/production) are joined by Goemel van Tienhoven (guitars) and René Westra (bass), adding a rawer edge to their signature sound. The band is set to release an ambitious triptych of EPs throughout the year, kicking off with the lead single King of Lonely Souls.
