Jenner Howland Music

Jenner Howland’s blend of folk-rock with rhythmically driven guitar set to storytelling lyrics reflects the influence of such American songwriting greats as Bob Dylan, Patty Griffin & Tom Petty. Her music spans across the folk-rock, indie-americana genres while bringing her own unique style. A powerhouse on the rhythm guitar combined with her subtle acoustic finger-picking create a dynamic performance. An engaging stage presence and rich vocals accompanied by energetic guitar playing takes the audience on a ride.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Jenner began writing songs and performing in coffee shops as a teenager. “I was described as a somewhat shy, quiet person but once I discovered songwriting and performing I realized my mode for sharing observations, life experiences and connecting with people.”

Jenner currently lives in Santa Cruz, California with her husband and their two young children. She plays regularly as a solo artist as well as with her band, and she has opened for John Craigie, Laurie Lewis, and Bob Malone (of John Fogerty’s band). Love Junkie, released in 2019, is her third album and first recording with a full band. The result is a heartfelt infusion of the singer-songwriter genre that blends folk-rock with indie-Americana.
