To preface, when I was 5 years old, the first concert that I attended was Rush. I'm certain that many a musician have taken notice of Rush's aptitude and artistry. I was no exception at being able to recognize Neil Peart's inventive and original blueprinted style. This exposition had me convinced that I wanted to be Neil Peart!
For my ninth birthday, my parents got me my first drum set. Once a week I would attend drum lessons from then through high school. 16 years later, I am thankful to have had the painstaking journey of lessons, rehearsals, and performances. This gave me the opportunity to discover my own unique methods. I now have come into my own professional style, where I can deliver my influences to others. To become someone else's Neil Peart, would be the ultimate tribute to my life's musical odyssey.
