Pepper Shakers

In 2004 the band Man Apart formed. From the start the band has been influenced by a variety of sounds and artists. Originally experimenting with funk fusion mixed with 80s pop. Their first two EP’s (Man Apart and Ghosts and Gravity) truly show the influences of U2, Coldplay, Dave Matthews and Maroon 5.

As they grew (with opportunities to showcase for INO Records; placing top ten in a nation wide talent competition with Shoutfest; performing with over 60 national recording artists; recording with Grammy Award winner Ronnie Cates and Third Day pianist Scotty Wilbanks; and releasing a music video for their single “Daylight”) their sound began to grow as well.

The band began to play under the moniker of “Pepper Shakers” to perform cover songs that they love and have served as inspiration to their original sound.

Through the years the faces have changed, but the consistent songwriting and musicianship from founding members Caleb Roddy, Phillip Kinsey, and Pepper Kinsey has returned.

Through personal growth and a love for writing that won’t be quenched, the band has decided to keep writing songs under the name Man Apart that are sure to bring you off your seat.
