About Castor Torture Squad
BIOGRAFIA – CASTOR
Nascido em São Paulo / SP, Castor começou a se interessar por contra – baixo com 12 anos de idade. Influenciado por Steve Harris, Geezer Butler and Rudy Sarzo, ele adquiriu seu primeiro contra – baixo aos 14 anos de idade e começou a praticar tocando musicas dos discos de heavy metal q ele tinha naquela época tais como Iron Maiden, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica e outros mais.
Alguns anos mais tarde , ele se juntou com alguns amigos do bairro apenas pra tocar musicas de outras bandas e então, no decorrer do tempo, ele descobriu que sua ambição não era ficar trancado num estúdio de ensaio tocando covers mas sim tocando musicas próprias e se tornar um musico profissional.
Em 1993, Castor foi convidado a se juntar ao Torture Squad e rapidamente eles gravaram e lançaram a primeira demo – tape com 4 musicas intitulada “ A Soul in Hell”, seguido por sete álbuns de estúdio e um CD / DVD ao vivo ao longo de sua carreira no Torture Squad até os dias de hoje.
BIOGRAPHY – CASTOR
Born in Sao Paulo / Brazil, Castor started to be interested in bass guitar at the age of 12. Influenced by Steve Harris, Geezer Butler and Rudy Sarzo he afforded his first bass guitar when he turned 14 and started to play along with some heavy metal albums he got at that time such as Iron Maiden, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica and many more.
Couple of months later, he joined in a band with some friends in the neighborhood just to play tunes from other bands so, in the meanwhile, he discovered that his ambition was not being stuck in a rehearsal room playing the same type of covers but playing own songs and turn out to be a professional musician.
In 1993, Castor was invited to join Torture Squad and shortly after they recorded and released their first 4 track demo tape entitled “A soul in Hell” followed by seven more studio albums and a live cd/ dvd throughout his career playing in Torture Squad until today.
