About The Soviet Influence
The Soviet Influence is an indie rock group from Limehouse Ontario. It’s Radiohead, Matthew Good and the Talking Heads that veers into the political anger of Joe Strummer, with the guitar tones of Johnny Marr.
The band has existed in some form since 2013 with a full length album Boundaries and an EP Check Boxes. They will release their next album The Price of Vigilence in January 2020.
Peter Snow is the singer, songwriter and lead guitarist of the band. He crafts songs that expand post punk, new wave, and modern. Blake and Peter Morey bring a powerful rhythmic foundation. Together they appeal to a nostalgic sound with fresh ideas.
With positive reviews from Alan Cross, Obscure Sound and Divide and Conquer, the band is ready to bring their fun and thought provoking music to listeners across Canada and beyond.
