The Mod Cons

Formed originally in 1979, 'The Mod Cons' are named after the Jam's third album 'All Mod Cons' which came out in the same year. We play a mix of Jam covers, original 60's mod tunes & '79 mod revival covers. The band started out life as 'The Impulse', playing a mix of 60's mod covers, Jam songs, and their own material. Three of the original members reformed the band in 2003 as a Jam tribute act, and have been playing to committed audiences ever since. This is the Modern World. The MOD Cons are a three-piece Jam/Mod tribute band from Saffron Walden in Essex.
