About Richard Norris Music
I am a composer and musician with a wide range of interests. On one hand, I am a song-writer collaborating with folk fusion project "Split Arrow". On the other, I work with classical instrumentalists in a more experimental context (in particular the Modulus Quartet). I have a Ph.D in composition from Royal Holloway, University of London and my thesis is available HERE.
I am also a pianist and bass guitarist regularly working and writing for labels and companies including Luaka Bop, Groucho Club, Channel 4, Spitalfields Music, Southbank Centre, Tate Modern and the Ambassador Theatre Group. I won the Royal Television Society’s Best Promotional Video award 2016 and my score for Part and Parcel was nominated for the Best Original Score at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema 2016.
I am also a pianist and bass guitarist regularly working and writing for labels and companies including Luaka Bop, Groucho Club, Channel 4, Spitalfields Music, Southbank Centre, Tate Modern and the Ambassador Theatre Group.
