Lauren Turner is a rock, funk, pop, jazz, and blue-eyed soul singer from New Orleans…..on the real though her eyes are green, but that could end up just making her sound envious or money hungry, neither of which is she. I guess it could possibly make her sound super earthy and into recycling, which is cool, but what she’s really into recycling is that old school sound! Lets just say she’s a green eyed soul recycling machine!! …? Anywho, some of Lauren's musical influences include but are not limited to Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Sam Cook, The Beatles, Ray Charles, to name a few. Some of the her newbie influences are Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, Adele, KT Tunstall, just to name a few more. Sure she’s won awards, and was on that tiny singing show called American Idol and was part of the top 12 girls. She even sang with a cover band for a few years, helping new couples celebrate their special day and helping bars all over the South shut it down! What about that time she saved a whole village from that giant category 11 tornado using only the powers of her vocals to…..OK enough about that. So she’s done some singing stuff. Lets get to the original music! Lauren loves the retro vibe of incorporating the old with the new, but doesn’t like the boundaries of having to pick a specific genre. Lauren Turner’s music draws influences from a wide range of styles like Jazz, Blues, Country, R&B, Rock and Pop. You really can’t put baby or Lauren in a corner, but if you absolutely have to ….then do it on your own time.
