Rowdy Johnson is an American outlaw country singer-songwriter and entertainer rooted in tradition, grit, and authenticity.

Born and raised in Apopka, Florida, Rowdy grew up with a chip on his shoulder and songs in his heart—quickly discovering a natural gift for turning real-life experience into powerful lyrics. Never one to fit neatly into a box, he forged his own path, blending his influences into a sound defined by creative freedom and raw honesty.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Rowdy carries his love of country beyond the stage. He is a passionate advocate for the American Armed Forces and a strong voice for his fellow military veterans—values that continue to shape both his music and his message.

Rowdy’s musical journey began at 16 when he picked up his first guitar, but it wasn’t until later—after relocating his family to the Arizona desert—that he fully committed to chasing the dream. In 2007, out of Tucson, the Rowdy Johnson Band was born, quickly gaining a reputation for electrifying performances and original outlaw country sound. From honky-tonks to legendary stages across Arizona—especially Tombstone, “The Town Too Tough To Die”—Rowdy built a loyal following and a larger-than-life reputation.

Drawing inspiration from icons like Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams, Rowdy carries the torch of classic outlaw and honky-tonk country while carving out a sound entirely his own.

With three full-length albums—Outlaws Today, America’s Best, and Hillbilly Rock Star—and 36 hard-hitting songs, Rowdy Johnson Band has proven itself both in the studio and on stage. Rowdy has shared the spotlight with some of music’s most legendary acts, including Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniels, Gary Allan, Trace Adkins, Shooter Jennings, The Marshall Tucker Band, Gretchen Wilson, Whiskey Myers, Big & Rich, and many more. Simply put—he’s been there, done that… and he’s far from finished.

Now stepping into a powerful solo chapter, Rowdy continues to evolve with releases like The Nordic Recording Sessions, showcasing standout tracks such as “This Biker’s Vest” and collaborations with artists like Dallas Moore and Billie Gant. He also delivers a heartfelt duet with his wife Kathy on “I’ll Go First,” adding a deeply personal dimension to his catalog.

Never one to stay in a single lane, Rowdy teamed up with producer Deano Engebretson for the high-octane rock project Voodoo Highway—blending thunderous instrumentation with Rowdy’s unmistakable voice and songwriting edge.
