Hammer Richman

Hammer Richman likes to call himself a "teenage assurer of utmost sonic mayhem." Fusing the aggressiveness of the 1990s Rock Renaissance and the grace of modern alternative, he provides the ultimate sonic explosion of real and unfiltered rock-n-roll.

Hammer is influenced by many indie and alternative rock artists such as Nirvana, Royal Blood, Turbowolf, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Big Spring, & Cut Glass Kings just to name a few. He says, "Every rock artist, whether they like it or not, are inspired by The Beatles and The Velvet Underground." (Look for more influences in the Hammer Richman and Influences playlist.)

Hammer kicked off his career by releasing his debut album Expectations on July 12, 2018. It has a very raw sound with unruly guitar and vocal parts. The lyrics of the album tap into Hammer's inner thoughts of love and struggling with defining yourself.

A few months later, he dropped his sophomore effort The City With Broken Wings released on December 1, 2018. This album dives deeper in Hammer's mind with thoughts of his place in the world, going against the mainstream, false hope, and loneliness.

Trying to appeal to a new, wider audience, Hammer released a cover of Lucid Dreams by Juice WRLD on January 17, 2019.
