About Duplicity Live
Duplicity has been delighting audiences with its eclectic mix of jazz, blues, rock and pop since winning Best Group at the Dandenong Ranges Ukulele Festival (DRUKE) in 2017. Duplicity has captivated audiences by combining beautiful vocals with clever arrangements and "taking ukuleles to places they don't normally go". Duplicity covers a range of musical genres using a variety of instruments including ukulele, guitar, bass and percussion. Based in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges, Duplicity comprises Sue Kidd (Vocals, Ukulele and Percussion) and Brendan Canty (Ukulele, Guitar, Bass and Vocals). In addition to regular gigging, Duplicity has supported Lucy Wise, Hannah Schmidli, Paul Jonson and Manitoba Hal Brolund. Duplicity is active on the festival circuit in Australia and recently returned from performing in New Zealand.
Sue and Brendan met at, and are active members of, KALULU (Kooky and Luscious Ukulele Lovers United) ukulele group based in Kallista.
Accomplished trainers, Duplicity is available to run both beginner and intermediate level ukulele workshops. Brendan is a member of the Australian Ukulele Teachers and Leaders Association (AUTLA)
