Adventerous

Artistic, Unique, Rousing and Entertaining are a few words to describe Alexander Walker popularly known as ADVENTEROUS. Growing up around his father’s record shop called " CHAT BOUT" and being surrounded by sound systems in New York, gave Adventerous the drive and a feel of belonging in the reggae music fraternity. “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” Adventerous is a true testimony to this fact as even at a tender age when most children’s interest would be in the pleasures of childhood activities, Adventerous recognized his passion for music. This was manifested in the pride and joy he took in performing at his mothers church and for the ladies at his school. At age 3 he impressed his family, and the people in Rochester, New York when he won first place twice in their "Annual Youth Day Competition." He was denied entry on his third attempt on the basis that others needed a chance. His love for music is longstanding as this did not deter him from pursuing his dream to become an artiste. Fast cars big chains and a lot of money was the ideal life for most teens growing up in his era.No matter where on earth you are there is a common thing that exist between everywhere.The same crimes and struggle but just in a different manner due to geographical and political features.Adventerous chose to stray from the fast life because he learned early first hand that it does not pay.Staying humble and true to his self, he has maintained the same drive that has landed him amongst the best. In 2009 he released his first Mix Tape CD self titled, “Adventerous”. To date, he has released four namely “Money Mi A Pree”, “Adventerous To Di World” and his most recent mix tape entitled "Tun Up" which has twenty two (22) tracks including a hot new single called “Heartbeat” available on Itunes soon. These CDs are highly rotated in the US, Jamaica and in the UK. His inspiration comes from all of the early Reggae pioneers and nowadays artiste such as Gyptian, Jah Cure, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Aidonia and many more. His passion for music has gained him the privilege of performing with renowned acts such as Mavado, Ricky Blaze, Tony Matterhorn, Junior X, Gyptian, Wayne Wonder, Gappy Ranks, Stephen/Freddie McGregor and many other prolific members of the music industry. He also has a new single coming out with Dancehall artiste Versatile on JK Productions riddim ”Talk Badniss”. Over the years Adventerous has maintained a charming, yet humble persona. He always acknowledges God first and maintains a high respect for women. He is a fast-rising international reggae artiste and his music has no limitations. His aim is to make quality music that will have people from all walks of life rocking to every beat. He has recognized his purpose in life and as religious figure once posits, “Your work is to discover your work and then, with all your heart, to give yourself to it,” Adventerous is a true example of this quotation. He has a consciousness of his musical career, which is of great significance to him despite the obstacles he faces on this journey to stardom.
