Ferentz and the Felons

Ferentz and The Felons is a driven, eclectic and charismatic band fronted by Zak Ferentz, an artist hailing from New Jersey. The latter was brought up in a rather difficult situation, with both parents afflicted by drug addiction issues, ultimately culminating with the tragic loss of his mother, who took her own life by overdose. Throughout his youth, Zak was all about life on the streets, getting in trouble and often falling victim of the darkest path life laid in front of him. However, eventually he realized that music could become a way out - A way to find a light at the end of the darkest night, and really make sense of all the struggle. In addition to that, music became a real mean of self-expression, and a unique way to bring meaning and purpose to a life. With the right soundtrack, even the loneliest day doesn’t feel too bad, and Zak is committed to bringing inspiration to the world through his songs! Recently, he teamed up with drummer Matt Waz, Bass player Rob Dudziak and lead guitarist Rich Catalano in order to create his new band, Ferentz and The Felons. The sound of the band is diverse and forward-thinking, inspired by rock, folk and alternative music - Think Neil Young jamming with Social Distortion, and you might get a good idea of the unique vibes of this group!
