Satin Nickel

Drawing on disparate elements of ambient, indie-rock, and folk, Satin Nickel's music ranges between rollicking folk rock aggression that recalls Shakey Graves and Shovels & Rope to slower, reflective folk reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Abigail Washburn. Alternating lead vocalists Morgan Hollingsworth and Samantha Aneson are supported by cellist Ariana Karp, bassist Andrew Shewaga, and drummer Nikola Balać. The resulting effort is at once self-assured and wistful, imbuing the listener with the emotional imagery of an unplanned, but ultimately fulfilling road trip through America.
