Melvin Griffin

Melvin Griffin, singer, songwriter, and worshiper is the epitome of God’s greatness in the earth. This prolific man of God has astounded audiences worldwide with his inspirational music. Melvin’s humble beginnings have led to tremendous success in his relationship with God and music.
Melvin was born in a small town in Eastern NC, (Hobgood) to Accie and Evelyn Griffin. They taught him that he could do anything that he put his mind to as long as he worked hard and was persistent. Melvin would often listen to his mother, Evelyn, sing. She was the praise leader at their home church. As a child, Melvin would try to mimic her flawless vocals. Working on his father's farm helped Melvin develop good work ethics that would be essential to his life. Melvin attended Elizabeth City State University and it was during those years, he and his two brothers began singing together as Brothers In Unity. The group was affectionately known as BIU. The group traveled all over the U.S. and abroad ministering the word of God in song. Best New Artists, Rising Star Award, and Group of the Year are some of the accolades that the group achieved over the years.
God had allowed Melvin to share the stage with some of the most elite artists in the Gospel industry. Some of the artists include; Rance Allen, Israel Houghton, Karen Clark Sheard, Vicky Winans, Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Tye Tribbett, Deitrick Haddon, John P. Kee, Mary Mary, Luther Barnes, Smokey Norful, Michelle Williams, James Fortune, Leandria Johnson, Jason Nelson, Kierra Sheard, The Walls Group, and an array of others!
Melvin is currently Praise and Worship Leader at Crown Ministries in Raleigh, NC and The Incubator Church in Miami, Fl, under the leadership of Bishop George and Ambassador Dr. Sharon Edmond. He is also the International Psalmist for SAGE Ministries where he is frequently seen on the Word Network and SEMS Global TV Network. Melvin has an awesome support system in his wife, Vita, and children, Marcus, Melanie and Mya. He is also a member of the prestigious Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and has recently written an anthem, “I Am Que”, for the organization.
Melvin heard God's voice as well as his leaders and others that prophesied in his life about a solo album. He decided to obey the voice of God and allow those prophesies to manifest in 2018.
His upcoming album ”Eight” consists of variety of inspirational music, traditional, contemporary and urban gospel... It's scheduled for release on 8/8/2018! Look out world.... here he comes!
