Ludok

Ludok is an instrumental band born in Elche (Spain) in 2017.

They don't really like tags, but their style is somewhere in between Math Rock, Post Rock, Progressive Rock and Instrumental Rock.

Carlos (drums) and Iván (guitar) played together in a previous band not related to their current style. Carlos wanted to experiment with new music, and Iván was open to new projects: it was the perect mix.

Iván left Spain for a couple of months. During his time in Ireland, they wrote 3/5 of the songs in “Cupcake EP” (3rd of August 2018). Distance was not an impediment: actually, it could have been an enhancer. Iván created his riffs on an acoustic guitar, and then he sent them to Carlos (in Spain) via messaging service to make his drums.

Back in Spain, they started rehearsing and polishing their new songs. It was funny how in their first rehearsal they played their 3 songs right at first time. After some months, their songs were ready, and in 2018 they debuted in Alicante with 7 own songs.

On April 2018, they recorded their first EP “Cupcake EP” in Harrisound Studio. It was self-produced and financed independently. Iván added some bass to the mix.
Later on 2018, they met Dani in a jam session, and a few weeks later he joined Ludok as their bass player. Within 2 weeks he knew his part for all songs, and on May 2018 they had their first gig together.

“Daily”, their first single, was published on the 8th of July 2018. It is the first track of “Cupcake EP”, Ludok’s first EP which will be published on the 3rd of August 2018.
