It was surreal. It was like I was somewhere else the entire time.

FITF killed it last night at Q-Bar in Darien. First time that we seen then since the Genesee Theater show in May. They played an extended set and threw in a few covers that I hadn't seen them play before. Great night out plus WRECKED and September's Rest for FIVE BUCKS. #project355chicago

About Faith In The Fallen
A driving force…an introspective look into the past…seeing the future from the other side. It’s the 5 piece rock/metal group from Chicago’s south side waiting to melt your face off with the kind of power, snarl, and hooks that have been missing from your life. With FITF there’s something for everyone…and everyone’s clamoring for more.
Although the pieces finally came together in 2010, Faith in the Fallen has been waiting to emerge since inaugural members, Scott Guzik (Bass) and Dan Dobbertin (Rhythm Guitar) joined forces in 2004. The connection musically was instantaneous with both styles meshing to create the frame for FIF’s original music—Scotty’s broad shouldered bass lines can kick a song into high gear or take a back seat, creating a wave to ride to shore, while Dan’s monster riffs and song structure paint a canvas, creating a unique story and message within each song.
With a little tinkering, Scott brought in long time collaborator Jay Wells (Lead Guitar) 3 years later. Jay’s solid additions to the rhythm and blues/metal lead tracks helped etch out the blue print of the band’s original music, but it would still take a couple more years for the pieces to finally ‘fall’ into place…
That’s when drummer and singer/ song-writer Kaleb Yanko came into the picture in 2009. Kaleb’s hard nose back beats and walking double bass pedal locked into the foundation already in place—original music started chiseling into shape.
The final piece came with the addition of Guy Schingoethe on lead vocals. An actor, singer, and songwriter from the Chicago area, Guy has taken the message of the music and put it into words. The songs that had been looking for their voice for so long, finally had a complementary lyrical style that took a deep personal approach, while sharing an experience many are familiar with.
FITF is about believing in chance. About putting aside all of the useless bulls@#t for one purpose…creating music that’s powerful, meaningful, and for everybody. Time, patience, and perseverance have turned Faith in the Fallen into Chicago’s newest diamond in the rough. Come out and experience one of our live shows and don’t forget to keep the ‘Faith’.
