About Fresh Ghosts
Fresh Ghosts is a dynamic, lyrically-driven indie rock band led by Denton, TX-based recording engineer and guitarist Alex Hastings (Claire Morales / The Demigs / The Hope Trust / Edgar Derby). The band began playing live in 2018 and released its debut album "Soft Edge” in September 2021.
Lucinda Breeding of the Denton Record Chronicle has called “Soft Edge” "a sonic time capsule preserving longing, resignation and the kind of hungry hope you try to keep on a leash." Fresh Ghosts’ sound has been referred to by Alex Gonzalez of the Dallas Observer as "a folksy indie-rock that's often haunting in its dark turns."
