VORTEX are a thrash/death metal band from Durham in the North East of England: Andrew Johnston Daniel Jordan Shaun Eggleston Jordan Gregory Michael Jordan We have two demo disks out - DISMEMBERMENT DEMO- 1- Mechanical Dismemberment 2- Warspeed 3- Melancholia RANCID MANIFESTATION DEMO- 1- Intro 2- Rancid Manifestation 3- Spiritual Waste 4- In the Wake of Fire We are currently in the process of getting together some new songs for our first full-length album and we intend to be entering the studio around the time of the gracious Easter of 2012 so keep your eyes and faces peeled for when we will soon unleash some face melting, bone crushing, soul thrashing new tunes for you all. We feel privileged to say that we have shared the stage with two of our primary influences and favourite bands Evile and Mutant, and we have also shared the stage with some other great bands from around the UK (Primitai, Elimination, Vindicator, Deceptor, Old Corpse Road, Bonesaw, Warbastard, Winds of Genocide, Cyborg, Fireblade and more) rescently we have had the priviledge to perform as the opening act to the blazing thrash metal act from the states, Warbringer!
