Amanda Pascali played at the inaugural DFW Italian Festival as the featured act on the main stage. She is a brilliant artist and crowd-pleasing performer. She connected with the audience with an easy and authentic musical style appropriately described as "American Immigrant Folk". We cannot wait to have Amanda and Addison back next year!

September 16, 2016 was a historic and monumental date in the city of Houston. Amanda Pascali and the Family performed their bon voyage concert, before going on a year’s sabbatical in Sicily.
The show took place at the historic Anderson Fair venue in the beautiful Montrose district.. The nominal ticket fee was an indisputable bargain for this event of a lifetime. The owner and staff worked hard to accommodate both band and patron, so the evening could be comfortable and memorable .
Once the immortal band took the stage , the enthusiasm in the room never waned. The titular singer/ song writer began the night with an update of her mission to be a messenger of stories of her family’s past and how she came to be. This crown jewel of Htown, of transcontinental heritage was very emotional this evening, as was everyone in the building. Miss Pascali is the daughter of an esteemed professor who as a young man rebelled against the then communist government in Romania, and was sent to a forced labor camp and eventually a refugee to the United States . As Ms Pascali explains, her whole existence is based on rebellion . Most of her songs are inspired by these events , Which is how she became the Messenger. Now as this talented activist went on to explain, she will be entering a new venture . She will be going to Sicily for a year to research another activist , singer Rosa Balistreri, and eventually translating Miss Balistreri’s songs from Sicilian to English .
The high emotions did not impede the performance . Miss Pascali and her musical partner, the talented Addison Freeman, gave one the most magnificent performances in the history of the arts in the City of Houston . Miss Pascali explained the band’s name significance, “Amanda Pascali and the Family.” She said we are all family . She proved this by making herself available to all her fans after the conclusion of her performance.
The sky is the limit for this band’s success.
