About Replacire

With numerous tours and gigs behind them Replacire has released their debut album "The Human Burden." A 41 minute delve into the psyche and assault on the senses. With grinding riffs, interweaving melodies and intense composition Replacire hope to leave their mark and cross over to fans of various kinds of Metal. "This Boston band are one of the most amazing young bands out there right now, playing a form of progressive/technical death metal that's really nothing like any other band attempting such a sound. Hear it and believe it...totally awesome!" (2012) -CM Distro (Century Media) http://www.cmdistro.com “I've listened to a lot of bands who wear the progressive death metal dress this year, and most of these bands are just trying to fit Opeth's outfit into their progressively-paced music, but finally I've discovered Replacire, which has totally changed my opinion about this kind of music. I didn't imagine that a band from Boston will have the ability to make a professional progressive/extreme metal record without the need of any Swedish copied materials, and that's why I consider the debut album, "The Human Burden", one of the most original progressive/death metal releases since Blackwater Park. The technical death metal atmosphere and the butchery of the growling vocals have really blown my mind, and the gentle clean vocals that dig some memorable parts into the brutality of the guitars are the main things that make this band special. You wont have the time to predict any movement inside these insane tracks because the neck-breaking breaks and the fillings make it so.....” -www.Jorzine.com "The Human Burden is an intricate technical death metal affair but gives a lot of room to Opethian passages and subdued grooves. Replacire have a complex songwriting format down pat, but not in a showy way; they use their skill to craft distinct songs. Truly one of the few bands I would feel comfortable calling progressive death metal." -nocleansinging.com "These guys are an eclectic mix of (drawing inspiration from) Opeth, Psyopus, and as far reaching as Frank Zappa. It adds up to a wholly original take on heavy music They are strikingly precise, and musically progressive. Put together in a completely compelling and professional stage show." -Karl Beuchner - Lead vocalist of Earth Crisis, and Freya “Replacire blend elements of death, progressive and modern metal, execute it all with crack musicianship and showcase it inside musically interesting compositions. Their sound should cross over and appeal to fans of various schools of metal.” -Joe Stump - Joe Stump metal guitar master, associate professor Berklee guitar faculty Stream/Download THE HUMAN BURDEN here: http://replacire.bandcamp.com The Human Burden OFFICIAL Music Video: http://youtu.be/8rfKuv5OdYQ
