About Garrell & Beyond

I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN the home of such actors and performers as Bessie Smith, Usher Raymond, Samuel L. Jackson, and Leslie Jordan. All of these people I have named are performers who have not only gained great success but have longevity and respect to a legendary degree in their fields. My home town is a deep well of phenomenal talent and I am honored to say that I am apart of that well. I started my training as a Musical Theatre major at Chattanooga Center For Creative arts under the tutelage of Allan Ledford. He taught me many things but the greatest lesson he instilled in me was how to deal with rejection.
I then moved on to the Chattanooga State acting program where in the one semester I was there Sherry Landrum taught me how to connect with true emotion through referent work. Then I met my acting mother Mama Hope Alexander. She taught me the business of the business and my life began from there. I am now an actor, director, producer, teacher, and student. And I haven't even gotten started good. :)
