Aeris

Aeris is anchored by lead singer Justin Brandt, and features Colin Denton on guitar, Chris Brandt on Bass, Weldeab Weldeab on guitar, and Jake Osborne on drums. The band Aeris is the convergence of 5 musicians who are from various areas around metro Detroit. Beginning in 2011, the members began working together to create music that defines rock in a new way by combining elements of post Hardcore, alternative, metal, and mainstream rock. The result is the distinctive and cutting edge sounds of Aeris. Along with a busy performance schedule, Aeris also released their 5 song EP "This is the End of your Life". The sound is so original, that a prominent recording engineer in Detroit referred to Aeris music as a new genre called "Popcore". These accomplished musicians have backgrounds & abilities that speak to the bands growing success. From Howell, MI our lead singer Justin Brandt is a wide ranging vocalist well suited to the bands unique genre. He's a creative lyricist and can play guitar and several other instruments. Justin is also an actor who has parts in several movies including the recently released "Scream 4". Drummer Jake Osborne is a veteran of several bands and has played hundreds of shows and performed with well known musicians. He was the youngest drummer to ever perform live at the Detroit Music Awards a few years back. From Waterford, MI Weldeab Weldeab is an excellent guitarist who also composes a variety of music. As our newest member, Weldeab has added fresh creativity to Aeris. He is from Canton, MI. On bass we have Chris Brandt. Along with being a musician, Chris is also a vocalist and is an actor who has appeared in many plays and productions. Chris is from Ann Arbor, MI. Guitarist Colin Denton is a founding member of Aeris and recently rejoined the band. An excellent guitarist who played a major part helping compose many of the bands original songs. We are fortunate to have in Colin back in Aeris. Aeris has developed an awesome live stage performance that engages fans. They blend their originals along with current covers from the alternative, metal, and post hardcore genres. The song "Survivor" from their recently released EP "This is The End of Your Life" was a top 5 finalist in the 2013 Detroit Music Awards. The bands reinterpretation of covers has been so well received that the song "Secrets" by One Republic has also been included in the Aeris EP. Aeris can adapt to a wide range of venues from hardcore metal to a sophisticated acoustic performance. This versatility from high energy in your face to a warm comfortable setting makes them marketable for any event. Aeris has performed at many recent events including: St. Andrews Hall, Dirt Fest, The Crofoot, Blind Pig, Stars & Stripes Festival, Freedom Hill, Bledfest, Blackened Moon Concert Hall, Fusion Shows, and many more indoor and outdoor events.
