Whether he’s singing an ode to “Bunning Snags” or lamenting his Nanna's Pavlova (“Nan's Pav"), Mike Elliott has one goal, to make sure people have a good time.
Mike is a brilliant natural comic, amiable musician and writer. Shortly after starting the satirical news site “The Bendigo Standard” he caught the attention of Bendigo locals who shared articles with him not knowing he was the writer.
He also has a guitar. The songs he plays are very good and performed in the key of G, D and sometimes in E. His music is inspired by the works of Flight of the Conchords, Demetri Martin, Tripod and “Weird Al” Yankovic.
In 2018, Mike performed his first solo show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival His performance earned him a 4-star review where he was quoted as ‘the next big thing’. His song-a-month has earned him loyal fans online.
