Tides Of Deception

We realize that there’s an insane amount of bands all trying to make it in today’s saturated music scene, and that it’s nothing short of overwhelming... so on that note, allow us to introduce ourselves, we are Tides Of Deception. We’ve been slaving away in the New Jersey scene for roughly four years, working on putting out music and playing anywhere we can. Our first release, the “Rise - EP”, came out in 2011, and we’ve just a couple weeks ago released our newest project: “The Tyrant Will Fall - EP”, which features Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills on one of the tracks. Also, we released an incredible music video for the title track off of our EP, just a few weeks ago. We’ve received such a positive response from the metal community on our new release; which has motivated us to finally take our music across the country. We find ourselves inspired by an entire landscape of sounds, and our music is just that. Bands such as As I Lay Dying, Motionless in White, My Chemical Romance, Ice Nine Kills, and many others are the reason we do what we do. We boast a chaotic live show in which we really connect with all our fans to create a unique experience, leaving them wanting more and hopefully becoming lifelong TOD fans.
From day 1, we’ve never been satisfied with ourselves, and we still aren’t. That’s why we push ourselves as hard as we can, and work towards our goals as hard as we can. It’s because of this constant effort to better ourselves that’s caused us to grow so much over the years and now we’re slowly but surely becoming the band we’ve always wanted to be. Now we need the rest of the world to see that band as well. The new EP is a complete transformation of the band that recorded the Rise - EP. Tides Of Deception consists of Jaime GoWell on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Brandon Jacob on lead guitar and backing vocals, Tyler Morales on bass, and Kasey Dobbyn on drums. We’ve been through a few member changes over the years that slowed us down a bit, but we’ve come out of it stronger than ever. We’re based out of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and Brandon and Jaime are the only two original members. They’ve been playing together for about 6 years since they started Tides as a cover band in high school. Now, Tides Of Deception is a whole new monster, and we’re ready to take on whatever is thrown at us.
As of now, we’re doing everything we can to spread our new EP to as many new people as possible. That means constant promotion, and lots of shows. On top of that, we’re busy working on new music as well, and figuring out how we can better our musicianship, songwriting, and performance for our next release. The creative process never stops, and we believe that’s how it should be.
We fully understand how jaded the music industry has become. It’s extremely frustrating at times. Bands come and go in the blink of an eye, and are seemingly forgotten. We refuse to be forgotten. We’re on a mission to reach the far ends of the world with the sounds we create, and when that does happen, we’re not going anywhere. We’re not just another band, we’re Tides Of Deception, and we’re here to stay.
