About JHW

Jonathan H. Warren is an accomplished and versatile studio and live performance musician and has been recorded playing several different instruments including violin, viola, and mandolin. Before moving to Nashville, he performed regularly as a member of the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra. He has toured Beijing China with the band Offering, promoting the band’s third CD “More Than This” on which he is featured in five of the songs. In 2009 he was one of eight violinists chosen out of the state of Virginia to participate in the Virginia State Summer Residential Governor’s School for the Humanities and Visual and Performing Arts. Currently he performs regularly with Ryan David Rose and the Pulse (jazz/pop), Emily Summers (indie/folk), The Alex Michael Band (country), Rhyan Shirley (christian contemporary), Rachael Mann (gospel), and has recorded on albums featuring artist such as J. Most (R&B), and Michael W. Smith (christian contemporary). He has also been a featured artist on TV shows such as Ben Tankard's "Thicker Than Water" and "The Treva and Kevin Show." Now he performs in and around the Nashville Tennessee area as a live and studio musician. Apart from playing the violin, Jonathan enjoys arranging popular songs to be played by string orchestras. His arrangement of “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay was highly praised by the Richmond Times Dispatch in May of 2009, and his arrangement of, “Close Every Door” by Andrew Lloyd Webber was performed by the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra in the newly renovated Carpenter’s Theater at Richmond Center Stage. His more recent arrangement of “Turning Tables,” by Adele, was performed by the Miami University String Orchestra at the Global Rhythms Concert in 2013. Jonathan is an alumnus of Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee, where he received his Bachelors degree in commercial violin performance. He is also an alumnus of the Specialty Center for the Visual and Performing Arts at Thomas Dale High School. Jonathan H. Warren is an accomplished studio and live performance musician and arranger. His instrumental talents include violin, viola, and mandolin.
