Phlegmatic

The precursor to Phlegmatic started off sometime around November 2010 in NITK, Surathkal when Vivek Kannan, Rishav Mallick and Sriranjan Thirumalai (Ex-Bevar Sea) decided to start off covering bands such as Opeth. The drive to create original music started shortly after, and Nishaanth Reddy joined in. Aiming to play Death Metal with progressions and technical overtones, Phlegmatic have since played gigs in Chennai, Mumbai, Mangalore, Surathkal and Bangalore. The band is currently looking to gig extensively and is working on releasing its debut EP sometime later in 2011. Recently "Conscientious Outcast" was featured in an International Compilation Album 'Xtreme Compilation Online' by an Indonesian Metal Webzine 'Xtreme Zine'. Phlegmatic was recently interviewed by the country's leading radio station Radio One on the show "One Music One Bengaluru" and gathered a lot of critical acclaim . Phlegmatic recently headlined the Obocracy Rock Fest in Coimbatore .
