Ewan Cowley

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Ewan Cowley is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin in Music and Composition. A multi-instrumentalist and singer, Ewan plays varied styles of guitars, bouzouki, Irish whistles, piano and mandolin. He has recorded and toured with Emmy nominated, platinum selling group Celtic Woman, performing at leading venues including the Theatre Royal Drury Lane London, Radio City Music Hall NYC, O2 World Berlin, Frankfurt Opera House, Espaco Das Americas Sao Paulo and Tokyo Dome. Ewan has also made several concert appearances on guitar at Ireland’s National Concert Hall with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra. Ewan's recent production work includes 'The Fields of Athenry' taken from Memory Lane CD (Universal) by The High Kings, the Gaelic Mass setting Aifreann Naomh Pádraig is Naomh Feilimidh CD by Irish composer Paul Flynn, and the debut EP Hazy Summer Morning by singer/songwriter Noel Cowley. As an orchestrator and arranger his work includes the DVDs Believe and Songs From The Heart by Celtic Woman and arrangements for Sony Music artists The High Kings. From 2011 he has worked as a rehearsal pianist and coach assistant on RTE Television's The Voice Of Ireland alongside Sharon Corr, Bressie, Jamelia, Matt Cardle, Danny Jones (McFly), Eddi Reader and Brian Kennedy. Ewan has worked on many Irish, UK, US and international TV and Radio broadcasts (RTE, BBC, EU and US networks) performing and touring with the above artists and also with Dónal Lunny, Tommy Fleming, Moya Brennan, Phil Coulter, Kate Walsh, Mica Paris, Gabriella Cilmi, Orla Fallon and Eimear Quinn.
