About Orbital Junction

The Year was 2017... Over beer & light snacks...

Orbital Junction was born! With the self-imposed mandate of delivering only the hardest hitting stoner grooves, they wanted to honour their heroes like Wo Fat and Orange Goblin while setting their sights on the success of Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. The fusion of the four led to a hastily recorded demo and its viral rampage across the internet. People liked what they were hearing.

2018 started the whirlwind ride, from their first humble show in March in Earls Court, Orbital Junction have to date played over 50 shows across the UK, supporting the likes of Child, RIP and Nightstalker.

The same year, the band wrote and recorded their debut self-titled EP (Orbital Junction in case you hadn’t made the connection – search it up, it’s fantastic!), with the heavy lifting behind the desk by Chris Fielding (that guy from Conan) at Skyhammer Studio.
It seemed that Orbital Junction had done something right and were invited to play the mighty Desertfest London (2019). A massive honour for the band, who had previously completed the annual pilgrimage to Camden as punters and music fans. 2020 started off with a true bang, but Spring quickly developed into worldwide uncertainty throughout the music industry and beyond, with the arrival of the dreaded pandemic.

Powering through 2020 with a no holds barred approach to their debut album campaign, Orbital Junction took lockdown to release a series of hugely successful singles in the lead up to their debut album EGOS & INSTINCTS released September 2020. The initial launch garnered considerable worldwide attention from fans, radio and media alike, resulting in the decision to launch a limited edition vinyl accompanied by a real-life (in person!) album launch show at Camden Town's legendary The Black Heart to kick off November, streamed worldwide in HD. A true revival of pre-pandemic mediums.

So, where next? Expect to see the band bring their hard- hitting sound, crushing venues under the weight of their huge riffs and pummelling beats. Plans are in motion for a European tour once the industry bounces back, so the band can boast about their ever- growing snack pallet. All indications are that the band’s ever evolving sound is delivering nothing short of utter genius.

As standouts in the UK stoner rock scene, expect OJ to continue their rise to the challenge of delivering the goods. You’re invited along for the ride and the back seats have been reserved for only the most diehard of followers.
