Finnegan Tui

New Zealand born, London-based singer songwriter and producer Finnegan Tui is leaping onto the scene with a very distinctive sound.
After moving to the UK, Finnegan received a scholarship to study Jazz and Electronic Music at the Guildhall School of Music. Whilst studying he took every opportunity he could, playing gigs, composing music for full orchestras, taking commissions from the Museum of London & Channel 4 and exhibiting sonic works at the Tate Modern.
Three years into the course he met his manager and left his studies to commit full time to recording and releasing his music. Inspired by the rich storytelling of folk music, Finnegan Tui playfully combines acoustic intimacy with elements of grand electronic flair, immersing listeners within a dark natural soundscape. Finnegan’s relationship with nature is a continuous presence within his music; emphasised through the use of birdsong, thunder and river water when sampling. Since his debut single, Once I’m Gone, released in June 2021, Finnegan has garnered over 800,000 streams. Along the journey, leading to the release of ZEPHYR, his debut EP, Finnegan has collaborated with a number of phenomenal professionals, including his co-producer Jasper Trim, the mind behind Alt-J Charlie Andrew, the Grammy award-winning Matt Lawrence, Andrew Scheps and Dom Morley, the Oscar winning Niv Adir, co-producers Robot Koch and Throwing Snow.
