About Wyvern Lingo

After the release of their debut album in 2018, the band toured extensively throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe before settling down to write new music at the beginning of 2019. Members Caoimhe Barry, Karen Cowley and Saoirse Duane set to work in Berlin’s JRS recording studios after the group opted to relocate to the city at the start of 2020. Released in July, Don’t Say It is the group’s first piece of new music from their new album, followed by Brutal Lottery, a sombre track about the number of refugee children currently missing in Europe (in aid of Missing Children Europe). Wyvern Lingo’s second album is due to be released early 2021.

“The Bray trio return with their first release since their 2018 album – and this funky, uplifting, soul-infused pop number is just what we need to hear heading into the weekend. It's the first single from their forthcoming second album, which “deals with a lot of personal change and growth”, according to the band. This is what you call a tantalising taster.” Entertainment.ie

“It’s evident, from the way in which the band communicate with each-other on stage, that they have been playing together for years. They seem to be so in tune with one another that they’re capable of predicting each-others’ next move without a side-wards glance.” Goldenplec

“These songs are a collection of experiences both separate and shared. Experiences that shape how we view the world, and how we’ve come to terms with the way our lives have unfolded.”
