Van Gho

S.DoT VanGho(26) born in Austin Texas grew up in Houston, Texas and now resides back in the ATX, a singer-songwriter of EDM, Hip Hop, and TRAP. She has grown up around music from a young child, although no one in her family has been a musician of music. She has been exposed to the development of one of the worlds well known multi-platinum record groups Destiny's Child. She has a great passion for all types of music, but urban HIP HOP is her biggest inspiration. In mid 2013 she found a new style of music that she has fell greatly in love. Club Dance music has taken a major toll on her new style of music, which she plans to take the WORLD by storm. When she was 6 years old, she started to write poetry, won many awards thought her school days and made it to the Texas State Poetry Competition in 7th grade. Her freshman year in high school she decided to try something new by writing music, it became a strong hobby, and then soon became a passion. In 2007 she released her freshman mix tape titled “SOUNDS OF MUSIC”. And her first album titled…”I AM HIP HOP” in 2009. In her early years of her career she has been president and bookkeeper for Russell Simmons HIP HOP Council (2004) in Houston, performed at the Holy Hip Hop Awards, Rosewood Summer in the Park(Austin Tx), Jump on It(Austin Tx), Urban Music Fest(Austin, TX), Back to School Concert, several “Official Shows” during SXSW and has been in many freestyle contest and battles in the southern area. S.DoT in not just your average female rap artist. She writes her own music and produces some of her own music. She also owns her own clothing line and brand (Artistic Hustlers™) and Custom Hat Company (BasikHatz) which T.I has represented her line on his hit TV series “T.I and Tiny”. This has also helped her with her music career by meeting different people and artist in the urban Hip Hop industry. A very well represented artist in the streets; and is known for her creative style, and freestyle wordplay.
